swell when added to liquid whether hot or cold, as they absorb water, milk or any other liquids. It can be consumed raw by immersing it in plain water or milk or curd with salt or sugar or
jaggery for taste, or lightly fried in oil. It is high in carbohydrate and low in fat. Good source of all essential vitamins and minerals including iron.
